Cruise ships, ATV's, Roller coasters, and...Amor:)

Anybody down for a belated honeymoon? We Are!!...(were)

Ah- Being married is great.  You get to go on cruises and stuff together.  I mean, really, can it get any better than that?
And not only do we get to be together, but we also get a TON of free food.... except...that we already paid for it all I guess... But still.  This was right when we got on the boat before we even left port- It seemed like no matter where we were there were seagulls (like the one behind me) that just waited to eat your food once you left- we saw a couple rather dramatic bird fights over food, now that's entertainment we didn't have to pay for! However, we did have to move out from under them for our own protection.
This was our first stop- on Catalina Island.  We dressed all beachy just for a good overcast, chilly day on the island- Luckily we were prepared!  Kind of, with jackets... Except Jenn's was a little too thin, so it was a nice excuse to buy Jenn a sweatshirt (our only souvenir besides a little surf board fridge magnet - and the sweatshirt was only 9 bucks!).  We decided to go as cheap as we could (seeing as it was our only choice, since we don't have any extra money)
This is one of about 5 or 10 pictures Jenn took of us kissing, she took it upon herself to get as many of these as she could:)  That's why I like her, she comes up with excuses for me to kiss her:)
As you get off the cruise ship everywhere you feel like you are on the red carpet, they have people snapping pictures of you at different stands. It's rather fun, until you find out that the little pictures of you cost like $15. So we snapped little pictures secretly (which is apparently against the rules, we got in trouble, but came back with a strategy later and totally pulled it off:) just don't tell carnival.)  The following are the ones we took.

Next: Mexico.  We rented an ATV from this little place outside of the port and went out to the "Bufadora" which being translated is "Blow Whole"  It sounded like it could be fun place to run out and see really quickly, except it wasn't "really quickly."  Ended up taking a full hour and a half on an ATV driving on the freeway with semi trucks etcetera (and going like 40 mph...it was painful...).  It was wasn't quite what we were expecting, but made for a good story (I guess you had to be there)

It really wasn't exactly all that fun, there was cold air, dust, and bugs hitting us in the face the whole way there.  This picture (especially Jenn) is a good depiction of how we really felt...
And this is where we ended up- La Bufadora.  The water comes in from the ocean and comes into the rocks nice and gently and somehow hits this one spot just right and shoots it up probably 150 feet or so and comes down on the screaming crowd.  It was actually rather cool:)
This is getting back on after a day in Mexico, we had to wait in line for a while and so just took a picture... no cool story behind this, except Jenn looks hott.
Later that night watching karaoke...turns out there were some talented people- my favorite was the guy that sang Frank Sinatra.  The funnest part of it though was just sitting in the back and looking through pictures of Jenn's mission that were still on the camera and hearing all the stories.  Love that girl so much.  I couldn't be any luckier!!
We ate ice cream every day, they had soft serve machines going 24/7 and I must confess, I ate ice cream for breakfast at least 3 times...  I loved it.  This picture was taken after we had just eaten big ice cream cones and realized we should probably take a picture to remember them:)
On the front of the boat- it was rather windy... so we took some pictures.
The wind kind of foiled Jenn's model picture
But she totally redeemed herself... SMOKIN!!!!
We experimented with some selective sunscreen placement...Looks like it worked...  I named this picture "Burning Love" (Jenn speaking - his muscles are huge! Man I've got an attractive man:))
Our last late night run for some pizza and hot chocolate at 2:00 in the morning.

View with the main atrium right behind us... can't see it at all, but it was like 7 stories high with Las Vegas- style lights and elevators.
The day we got off the cruise we headed to Six Flags!!! I had never been and Jenn practically grew up going there, so she said I had to go!  Walking in from the parking lot she rapidly turned into a little girl jumping up and down as giddy as can be saying things like "Ok, first we have to find Goliath, it has like the biggest drop of any roller coaster!!! Oh, and...AH! I hope the lines aren't too long! Do you think it will be busy!? After Goliath we have to RUN over to Tatsu to make sure that we can at least do those two, and then from there we can do everything else!  Are you excited?! You don't seem very excited! AH!  My dad's favorite was Deja Vu, and my brothers liked....etc."  Haha, and then we got there and it was WAY TOO HOT.  So after sweating like crazy we finally bought ourselves some diet coke for 4 bucks each and then just filled them with warm water from drinking fountains the rest of the day. It really was a blast.
This was in front of one of our favorite rides "Scream," hence the faces.  Lines ended up being awesomely short, so we did this one twice in a row with out hardly waiting at all.
Once again, Jenn just can't keep from kissing me:)
In front of Goliath, another favorite of ours, it really does have an epic drop at the beginning that kinda takes your breathe away.
And... On our way home... we drove to Vegas after six flags, and collapsed on our bed.  Saturday morning after checking out of the hotel we decided to check the cooler...and found some nicely separated milk.. rWe decided to not use if for our breakfast:)

Anyways, that is just a quick little run down of our belated honeymoon, We loved it and had a blast!  Thank you to everybody who helped make life a little easier for us through out the semester and afterwards so that we could do this!!

  1. That trip looks so nice. Except the burning love picture. Hilarious that it worked though!
